The size of the grip under both hands and the material of the grip will provide a certain "grip feel" to each individual player. This "grip feel" can enhance or detract the golfer's ability to swing the club correctly and provide a well struck golf shot.

A grip that is too large could do the following:
-Decrease clubhead feel
-Reduce wrist action by not allowing the golfers hands to properly roll the club into impact causing the ball to be pushed to the right
-Cause the golfer to choke down on the grip until it feels better, which reduces the swing speed of the club

A grip that is too small could do the following:
-Cause the clubhead to twist at impact because the golfer cannot get a firm hold on the club
-Cause the golfer to squeeze too tightly on the grip, reducing wrist action.
-Cause the golfer to have "over active" wrists, causing the ball to be pulled left.

A grip that is too worn could do the following:
-Cause the clubhead to twist at impact
-Cause the golfer to squeeze too tightly on the grip
-Cause the golfer to loose control of the club in wet conditions

In order to find out if your grips are too small or large, you must define proper grip size. Proper grip size is when your two middle fingers of your left hand barely touch the heel portion of the palm. If your fingers do not touch, then the grip is too large, if the fingers dig in, then the grip is too small. The golf professionals at LPN can fit your correct grip size along with recommending when to replace your grips and what type of grip to purchase.

Lake Panorama National carries major grip brands Golf Pride and Winn in a variety of materials and styles along with the ability to order your preferred grip. The golf professionals will fit your correct grip size and replace them in a timely manner. Stop in today for your grip fitting!

For the month of April, take advantage of discounts on grip installation. In April, bring your clubs to LPN and save 50% OFF on our grip installation fee for each club that we regrip.

Material of this post is from "The Complete Golf Club Fitting Plan" by Ralph Maltby

John Dinnebier's Bag for 2009

<img style="FLOAT: left; The professional staff stands behind the products they sell and will take your game to the next level.

The golf professionals at LPN can also check to make sure you have the right driver, iron, wedge, or putter in your bag that is fit to your specific swing and skill level. By checking lie and loft angles, club length, grip size, and other information, we will steer you towards equipment that will help your golf game. We have a number of demos available so you can try before you buy on the golf course.

The greatest thing about this program is that it allows golfers to trade-up to new, fitted golf clubs more affordably by using their old clubs as trade-ins at fair market values

Trade in your old clubs towards your new custom fit clubs today!

* Lake Panorama National reserves the right to not accept trade-ins if the golf clubs are not in the PGA Value Guide or damaged/modified beyond golf club manufacturers specifications.
